The private sign-in area that our editors use sets one strictly necessary session cookie after they sign in. Readers never see that page.

Spam check

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile may store a small amount of data in your browser to complete its check. It is used only for that purpose.

Partner links

If you click a labelled partner link (for example to Booking.com or a travel insurance company), the affiliate network that runs the link (such as CJ Affiliate or MaxBounty) and the partner's own website may set cookies so that a later reservation or purchase can be credited to us. These cookies are set only after you click, on the partner's or network's domain, under their own policies.

Controlling cookies

Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies, including third-party cookies. Blocking them does not stop this site from working, and partner links will still take you where they say.
