Information, not instructions

Our notes and guides describe places, wildlife, seasons and travel in general terms. They are not official information about any protected area, and they are not professional advice. Conditions in forests and hills change quickly: roads close in heavy rain, activities are suspended, rules are revised. Always follow the instructions of forest staff, guides and local authorities, check current timings and rules with the people who set them, and use your own judgement about weather, health and safety. Where we mention health, such as leeches, heat or snakebite, it is general information only; see a doctor for anything that matters.

No bookings through this site

We do not sell, reserve or arrange tickets, safaris, boat trips, treks, rooms or tours. Where a page carries a labelled partner link, any reservation or purchase you make is between you and that partner, on their terms.

The text, photographs and illustrations on this site belong to Cardamom Hills Journal unless stated otherwise. You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page. Please do not republish whole notes or images without asking us first.
